Babies On The Beach: "Getting To Know One Another"

Although Holli lives in Cleveland and Beckett lives in New Orleans, these two cousins have been together a lot since their births, only three months apart.  They have never truly interacted much before this trip and it was so much fun to watch them together.  Neither one saying very many legible words, they chattered back and forth and at times I thought perhaps Holli was fussing at Beckett with her finger pointing at him while doing so.  He took this well most times, but occasionally he would run to an adult with his tail tucked between his legs.  And so the tale goes for most males and females; learn the lesson early, Beckett.  Here are a few photos of some of the antics these two got into on our beach trip while "Getting To Know One Another"...

                 Most mornings found these two following me around for a sip of my coffee.

          I started this with all the Grands at a pretty early age and now they stalk me for the java!

                                            But I don't mind sharing with my sweetie pies.

             They spent the first morning together just sitting there checking each other out...

One afternoon, Robby and I brought them back from the beach a little early.  We told their parents we thought they needed a little snack...

This is what they found when they came in.  HEY!  Grandparents are supposed to do this, aren't they?!

                                                                Just a little ice cream.

                                                   And they didn't seem to mind the mess.

                                      Pool time was pretty fun too.  They loved their floats!

                           They emptied the landscaping of its pine straw while there too.

                             And Holli already has the sunbathing down pat while sipping her drink!

This is one of my favorite photos.  There was a menu laying on the table and Beckett picked it up and looked at it as if to say, "What do you want for lunch, Holli?"

Were they tired after their long days of playing on the beach and in the pool?  You bet they were!

                                               Beckett even fell asleep on the beach one day!

Yes, this trip brought two cousins together for a fun time getting to know each other.  Exactly three months apart in age, can you imagine the mischief these two will get into together over the years?  I cannot wait until they start school and hope that they are even in the same classroom at times.  Trick-r-Treating together, holidays, long summer days playing at Poppi and YaYa's house.  These are the things I love.  These are the things memories are made of.  The best things in life are free...and this is the BEST!
