Baby, It's COLD Outside!!! But I Guess That's What Christmas Is Supposed To Feel Like

We left Louisiana wearing short and ended up wearing coats...and gloves...and hats here in Ohio.  Yep!  It's pretty much FREEZING here.  Robby and Caitlin woke up Saturday morning and went grocery shopping for the ingredients to make a gumbo.  Caitlin had been wanting to learn how to make one, so that is what they did that night...

OH...And a cheesecake (from scratch...); that's what Kevin wanted...

We also came bearing gifts.  Not only was it Caitlin's birthday weekend, but she was in need of a nativity set.  And, of course, I got her, her first one...

Last year, her first wedding shower was a Christmas ornament one and her tree looked so pretty with all of those decorations on it...

Here is the Okra Pod Santa ornament that I got her, made by a Louisiana artist...

And two items representing her heritage; a Mardi Gras mask and a little Native American angel...

I also loved these cute little pine cones that she decorated with glitter and hung with ribbon on her tree...

And this cute tree topper that she made out of pine cones too...

I also threw in a Christmas candle to make her apartment smell all Christmas-y and festive...

And we still had her birthday to celebrate!
